Nightfire Clan Forum Rules

Hello and welcome to the Nightfire Clan forum.

This forum is for the players and clans of the James Bond Nightfire PC game. This forum is a place where players can come to discuss things, ask questions and have them answered in a friendly environment. To promote this friendly and informative environment we ask you to comply with a few rules and guidelines written below.

Forum rules:

Failure to follow these rules may result in you being officially warned : 3 warnings and you will be permanently banned from the forum, subject to the Nightfire Clan Forum Staff discretion.

Moderator's and Administrators have the right to modify, to move or to close any of the created threads. If you have a problem with any of these matters please PM one of the Forum Staff.

New users who have not activated their accounts after 14 days are now automatically removed from the database.

#1 Opening a new topic

A - Try the search function before you post a new topic. Maybe somebody has asked the same question as you have? When you can't find an answer on your question, then is it time to post your message.

B - Post's and Topics that are just complete nonsense or spamming will be deleted. There are 2 boards that fall outside this rule, but are still down to the Forum Staff's discretion. The boards are "Test Forum" and "Off-Topic".
Links to other forum 'posts' are accepted when used for reference, topics and posts that are just for other forum promotion will be deleted.

C - When posting a new topic use descriptive words in the subject/title relevant to the subject that you wish to discuss.
When you post a problem in "Website problems" or "PC problems", please put a tag in front of the topic subject/title to make it easily identifiable:

[PC] Won't restart
[Sound Card] Which one is the best?
[Internet] My browser is acting weird

You can see that the tags are between the [ ]. Do the same in your post.

D - Please use the correct board to post on that corresponds to your topic. Post your message once. Duplicate posts in the same or on other boards will be locked or deleted.

E - If you have a large image you would like to display please can you post it as a link so that it can be opened in another window. imageshack.us and photobucket.com are two free image hosting sites that generate forum links for your images. Oversized images may be deleted by the Forum Staff .

#2 Posting a reply

A - Don't use rude words on the forum (neither via pm). When you have to use them anyway rude words will be automatically replaced with ******. When you have used a word that isn't in our database, the Forum Staff will replace it with *****. You can see a little note in the bottom of your message, beginning with "Admin edit:" or "Moderator edit." Rude words include anything that is swearing, racism, unlawful, libellous, defamatory, illegal, abusive, threatening, harassing, obscene, vulgar, pornographic, profane or indecent information of any kind.

B - When someone has got a problem, try to help them, and don't launch into a high that they can't do something. Behave yourself!

C - Don't post so many smiles. Smiles are for pressing your emotions. When you have a question don't add useless smiles, such as: Can somebody help me? I can't restart my computer :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :?: :?: :?: :?:     It would be a mess if everybody does this. Use as less emoticons as you can (a few are enough)

D - Don't post a reply repeating what you wish to say more times than is necessary. "Swarming" your post will just be edited by the Forum Staff with a little note in the bottom of your message, beginning with "Admin edit:" or "Moderator edit."

E - If you wish to quote someone please use just the part that you are replying too, don't quote the entire message again and do not quote images in a reply.

F - Stay on topic. Posting Off Topic disrupts the flow of the topic and makes it hard to follow for other users who wish to discuss the topic subject/title. Posts going off topic will be split where possible or just be removed and be at the Forum staff's discretion to do so.

G - Spam, chat and inappropriate comments will be removed at the Forum staffs discretion. If you wish to chat with another user you can use the chat box, GSA, MSN, IRC etc, the forum topics are for discussion of the topic subject/title. Inappropriate comments are, but not restricted too, flaming another user for no reason, commenting on another users spelling, debating with a moderator/admin when they commented on your inappropriate post (See Other Rules D) .Spam is invasive, unsolicited information. Posting advertisements for unrelated web pages or services.

#3 Other rules

A - Changing your name. You can't change your name on this forum. Only when you changed your clan, you can send a pm to one of the Forum Staff to change it.

B - Somebody is doing things to me that I don't want. No problem. Send a pm to one of the forum Staff and we will discuss this with the both of you. When they are sending you pm's that contain rude things, pm us again! Don't launch into an argument on the public forum.

C - Nightfire is a game, so have fun!

D - If you are rude to another Moderator or Administrator in the forum then it could result in an instant Ban. The Administrators and Moderators use up their free time without getting paid to help people here. If you must question what a Moderator or the Administrator posted or did then do it politely or in a private message to them. If you are not happy with their response (from the moderator) then contact the Administrator.

E - You will not violate a person's privacy by publishing information against another member(s) will, information that is private and personal. If you violate this rule, your account may be automatically banned without prior warning.

F - Providing or asking for how to illegally obtain "warez", "gamez" or any other software or work protected by copyright law is not allowed in the public forum. If you violate this rule, your account may be automatically banned without prior warning. Google is your friend.

G - Signature's and Avatar's Size - To keep the page loading time and visual annoyance factor down to a minimum, ensure your graphical signatures do not exceed the limits that are laid out in your profile settings. Alternatively, lines of text can be used as a signature. The limits of text that can be used in your Signature are laid out in your profile settings. Signatures that are links to other forums or objectionable sites will be removed. This also applies to personal website links.

The Avatar size should not exceed that which is laid out in your profile settings.

If these limits are exceeded then you may be contacted by a moderator requesting an amendment to your signature. If none is made within a reasonable period of time, then a moderator may remove your signature from your profile.

The Nightfire Clan Forum Staff may choose not to enforce any of these rules as per their own discretion. Any construed violation of these rules that is not enforced should not be considered precedent that the rule will not be enforced elsewhere in the future. If you are not comfortable with any of these rules, than we respectfully request that you spend your time elsewhere.

For any questions, you can reach us at nightfireclanforum@yahoo.co.uk or PM us via the forum.

Have fun,

The Nightfire Clan Forum Staff.
