Ultimate Sniper...
To make a clan that's nice and successful you need patience and to begin slowly, which no person
wanting to make a clan either has or does. I didn't want a clan... it just sorta happened, so I only took ppl with great attitude and that i liked personally, their skill didn't matter... skill can be taught... attitude, a player either has or doesn't.
And when i speak of "patience" I mean taking months in just the concept, training and the forging of it, when there are only 3, 4 or 5 of you, let alone rushing to take on existing clans in matches.
Don't deviate from your original course and "be there"
every night, and
day if you can be, as Dreamy, Tres, Pencat and I were... Then great players with great attitude will notice you...
For -]UK[- these included Mackan, Zero, Majis, Crapper, Lithium and (for a very brief period) Mderms. But I was prouder of the "unknown" players that became "famous" during their time within The Kindred, such as Dreamy, Pencat, Tres, MasterJeff, Bloody, Smithy and Delicious.
...This is what you don't seem to be able to grasp Ultimate...
-]UK[- wasn't just about beating other clans in combat. it was also aimed at actually introducing new and unknown players into a safe, friendly enviroment where they were introduced to gaming skills, Kindred Law (what was acceptable playing for us and what wasn't) and eventually, NFBL. Many -]UK[- s were actually "home grown". This is why we were so loyal to one another. But to do this a clan must be properly structured through out... from training new players to having experienced assault/defender teams, and even "cover" when Assault teams were a man or two short.
The Kindred was an ideal, the kind of clan I would want to join if I had not been leading it. After Dreamy and Pencat won their colours there was no going back, but i can honestly say I had no idea where we were headed at that time, except forward, where ever that may lead, no matter how long it took or how many matches/scrims we lost, and believe me, there was a lot of loosing before we began to win!
...That's what begins the making of a legend...
...Nice to think of a "clan" as a "legend" and not any individual in it.
... So Ultimate... Ask yourself honestly... do you have what it takes to mimic
the "clan legend" of them all?
