NightFire commands, what options to have off?

Postby rogue on Tue Mar 25, 2008 4:09 am

Hi, i run nf from behind my router not dedicated(once i exit nf hence im qutting server down), so i cant use dss2 i think for the extra protection against cheaters etc.. i do have the game.dll patch to get rid of give and go to commands and rockets etc... ive read through forums some saying that they turning of commands to block certain cheats and hacks, so i was wondering what commands can i turn on/off for extra security against cheater/hackers if there is any. i also do use that nus3.1 if that helps thanks for any help.

well you can still use dss2 to run a non dedicated server, but once youve got rid of rockets, ronins, goto and give etc. you cant go much further if youre just hosting non dedicated..

dss2 allows you to block wallhacking, aimbot, speedhacks, and all that, but the people who join will have to have client, and i doubt many people will be willing to use client to join a non dedicated server.

i doubt if many people would bother hacking on a non dedicated server that was already cheat patched as well.

you can still play on your server if it is dedicated, so perhaps try running a dedicated server - theres even a button on dss2 that allows you to join your own server with one click.
