Discussion about NFBSP's Dedicated Server Script (DSS)

Umm I was joiniing my own server with dss2 and I found out that in rome and all other ctf maps the flags are missing. Image and I didnt edit the map and I did not change the dss2 settings.

you deleted the flagstand and flag textures..
I Used to be scyzofrenic, But We're okay now :)

or he patched the game.dll removing flags

If you patched the dll wrong go back to DSS at DLL Patching and there you have advanced =>CTF_FLAGS....Maybe you disabled the option as tres said

LOL you can disable the flags with tres' CMM??? :shock: dear god... try doing something more useful... like removing the map :grin: or... an option to add guns :grin:

ive actually found that the game.dll patching tool on dss2 isnt perfect, for one thing, if you get rid of fists (for knox2) it also removes commando.

yeh it isnt easy to determine everything, especially in DLLs, and especially in nightfire DLLs :grin: probably best not to try and remove too many things at once MrNF :wink:



just imagine being able to add guns on the game rofl... we'd have so many different mods, the cool thing is that all clients download the host's game.dll so that if u mod it, they can play too. eg. you change the .MDL used for a weapon, the client will download that change in the game.dll and try to look for that model, if they dont have it, they render a missing model box :grin: i did that quite a few times on my server... missing model boxes runing around pwning everything :grin:

DSS removes and adds the correct entries of the game.dll file, but Nightfire sometimes can disable more than one. I don't know which yet because I have not tested it one by one.

tras before you release something out in public you must test out everything before releasing a final version. Look at Thomas Edison he tested out the light bulb before he made a final release.

he does test things obviously idiot, but dss2 is a big program, it would take ages to test every single little thing.

Thats not DSS its NFs fault..I talked to Ford and thats a prboelm from inside NF...NFF is kind of stupdi form amny points of view

Dude Ford doesnt know nothing cuz he hasnt tried out the dss. Ford can suck my balls cuz hes not tras.
