I think you forgot one of the cool mappers, Pencat He and Tres made Colonyhotel.

look at dm_afghan. It was El Presidente and Tras who made colony hotel. But it was Pencat when we found out he was undercover. And look at ctf_towers made by Ford.

By the way dm_afghan had nothing to do with pencat\El Presidente, it was a planned map for Nightfire, who was sent by a real level editor from Nightfire, but he never released. It was uncomplete so I had to finish it as I could.

DM_Afghan is a pretty good map and it's sky model was already in nightfire so kinda gives it an advantage
CTF_Towers is a very good map although the large field in the middle is rather difficult to get through as the idea was for it to be a sniper map. As its more than 15MB its very rarely played by anyone.
DM_Colonyhotel is a very detailed map and was rather successful for the first few weeks after its release even though its also more than 15MB. I really have very little so say against it mainly cuz its DM
All very good maps... I remember trying to persuade mitch (through tres) to let me have the compiler before it was released so that i could test my map (CTF_Safe)... Now lets see what happens with MDL

i remember sum1 giving me the idea to make a sniper map that had 2 sides to a wide fast river that nobody can cross but i duno if thats the map and i cant remember who it was

How come i dont apear on this list on second thoughts forget it i just remembered the abuse i got for the last one i made i didnt think anyone else had released anything made with gearcraft half life retextures and bsp edits yes but thats not realy mapping is it ctf bunkers was quite good bit rough but it plays well who made that?
