Suggestions on how to attract new players.

Hi everyone,

I'd like some suggestions on how to attract new players to the game. I've thought of a couple things, like posting articles on digg or uploading torrents, but after that i'm at a dead end. I know that two heads are better then one, and all the heads of the forum put together should be much better then two. So let's all submit our opinions here, no matter how silly you might think they are. Everything helps.

yea, a chain mail thing might help. Just gotta get someone to start it up.
I thought about finding a place to advertise nightfire, I really wouldn't know where to start or how much it'd cost. I dont think paying poeple to play would be a good idea, people that already play no would be asking for money.

My answer would be the only possible one:BE NICE AND HELP THEM IN TEH SPIRIT OF {NC}.
I have talked to quiet some new players and they all said they are being mishalded and being called names and such stuff and msot of them dont like it...And the thing is to make them like the game as much as you do...Learn them to play and how the game is with good and bad parts...And integrate them into NF...
But first of all try to be nice cause they are new and they feel bad when being insulted...Most of them dont know its a typical NF joke to call someoen noob or etc...This would be it

Nope but they come in the game and start playing and they like it sort of and then all of the suddon they hear:NOOB IDIOT;FAG;#####,******* NEW AGENT etc etc
And they dont like it so they leave after 2-3 servers like this cause they ARENT WELCOMED!

eagle, this is about how to attract new players, not to keep players that are already playing nf.

Some ppl get nightfire for Christmas like every year. There will be a few new servers I think and also 20 or more new players? Hard to say how many. In case somebody want to have new players in nightfire then try to be nice to those players, try help them when they need it, talk to them and also you dont have to kill them during 2 seconds when they dont move.

I know this is for most nf players hard or almost impossible to do, but somebody can try it. When I started with nf, I was alwazs glad when somebody talked with me or we made some teamwork.

idd teamwork ftw im not mean 2 new players... i actually like 2 talk 2 them lol... that was part of the idea behind the clans i made several years ago, some of those ppl are now in good clans and some left the game cuz they were 2 busy/had other games they prefered to play etc... but still, i liked the memories i got form that
