EDIT: OK, maybe I didn't make this clear earlier but I have decided not to bother with Acti and go for the game myself. Just in case anyone was confused, I was while I was reading back.

Storyline and weapons: http://www.mediafire.com/?6oaktxhz4zx

Not quite finished yet (maps and other details to put in) but it's a big milestone.

I have an urgent request: I really need a couple of people willing to do some modelling for BI. The first priority will be Bond's PP7/PPK (whatever you want to call it), then some of the other guns for the first mission (See the Black Ice full storyline summary mentioned earlier). Also, Ulti, if you could e-mail me your MP5, preferably optimised for the Source SDK, it would be much appreciated. jonathan.poncelet[@]talk21.com

Thanks a lot guys, all contributions will help development. :)

I guess there's a PP9 gun already in the GoldenEye Source game. You can get references from it (there's a few model decompilers too )

I have seen this but I don't really want to use it for BI, mainly because it's already in use but also because if one model was made by the GE:S guys and all of the others by us then the inconsistency would look a little weird.

If I do learn how to model I'll use it as a "detail model" to get the shape, pistol detail etc.

I know, I used to have PS2 NF, now I have GameCube NF for the Wii as our PS2 stuffed itself and wouldn't read any discs. The motor for the CD drive stopped working so as we got a Wii for Xmas I got Nightfire for that. It looks a lot better than PS2, probably the Wii's extra processing power.

However, there is still the small problem of not being able to get the model out of the game. If I could I would but unless someone can somehow access the filesystem I won't be able to. (This has been discussed in the old Spectrum mod thread.) I could send an email to one of EA's developers through their forum but I don't know how happy they'll be exactly to let us access their stuff...

That map in MP rocks... Especially on Assassination. I'm going to take a shot at remaking it for Refraction MP.

I could make it in GC and then port the .map to Source afterwards. The problem I found with the GC editor was that it tended to lag considerably the bigger your map got...

Basic for a sniper, however I would say it looks better than the PC version...

Just starting work on the Snow Blind map after having finished Nightfire's missions. God it feels good to be back on after playing loads of Source games, it reminds me of all the fun I used to have... I have found that I now have to enable the mouse filter to be able to play MP properly; it makes life a whole lot easier.

I've also decided to take a bit of a break from the Trade-Off map for Refraction; it's got pretty complicated and its doing my head in, too many lines on the 2D displays! I find that if I get tired of doing a map for days on end, if I take a break for a while I can return to it later with a clear head and renewed enthusiasm, so I'll do a bit of work on the Nightfire MP version instead to pass the time. Dm_snowblind is on its way...

P.S. I should really preview my posts before submitting them, I've edited this about 6 times. lol
