DSS2 Crashes Constantly

Discussion about NFBSP's Dedicated Server Script (DSS)

Postby [George] on Fri Nov 23, 2007 6:00 pm

ive stopped getting thread exceptions now, and started to get other windows popping up with error messages (no ss yet) and features of dss just stop working, like just now i couldnt even clear console without getting about 3 error windows. (and it wouldnt clear)

George just delete all dss files and reinstall it.It works jsut fine for me ....aMaybe its cause my computers is 100% virus free and windows has no bugs cause its fresh reinstalled.Try reinstalling WIndows or a frehs DSS reinstall ...

George, you don't make things easy for me, try to do screenshots of those errors and check DSS for updates regularly....
When you press the clear button, the info that showed the window is saved on a buffer, which would be used if you press the "save log file" button. Are you sure that nothing is blocking dss, like some antivirus software?

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
    <system>
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Tres,
Maybe you should make that if there appears an (non-lethal) error, it automaticly sends the specific error to nfbsp.com with all details.
For the 'lethal' errors, i could make a report system (online), if you'd like to.

Umm zero do you have Vista? If you do then run the program as administrator and you can get rid of all those errors.

lol.. those errors are not from DSS itself, it happens exactly when the console of DSS gets updated, and if it was minimized, it will say an error.
Try to get the latest .net framework and the .net framework 2.0 patches, also try to update your graphic card drivers, it's just strange that this happens.

You are the only one who thinks that because you are only the only one who has them.
This problem is not from DSS2, I already told, it's related about some .NET incompatibilities, try Windows Update and install the updates for .net framework.

Ok, but getting .net framework 3 does not mean that you got the latest version, because programs made for .net 2 wouldn't work if you got installed only .net 3. They are all separated.
So if you could, try to download those updates that I told before,
