NFBL Match scheduling

There's been problems with match-scheduling lately and we're concidering changing the system of how matches are scheduled. Until now the principle has been mutual agreement between the clans, as far as possible. However, the attacking clan's wishes have been given larger importance then the defending clan's when a mutual agreement has been complicated.

The suggestion is based on the assumption of some players having grown older.

Quite a lot of us are going out on Saturdays so some consideration will be taken to this. However, if one is old enough to go out, he or she is old enough to be independent of mother's/father's dinner and no respect will be shown to weather it is dinner time or not for players who go out... There are still a lot of young players who need to go to sleep early on Sundays and this will be respected as well.

Time's when it's possible to refuse as suggested:

EU clans

Saturday: 12.00 + 1.00 pm est Matches ALLOWED
Saturday: 2.00 and later matches can be refused cuz of eu ppl going out alot on saturdays.

Sunday: 12.00, 1.00 , 2.00, 3.00 est matches ALLOWED
Sunday: 4.00 pm est matches can be refused cuz of school next day for EU players.

NA clans:

For both saturday and sunday 12.00 + 1.00 pm est matches can be refused..

This is not decided yet and everyone is invited to discuss this. Hopefully we can find a solution everyone is decently happy with.

I'm sure there are other systems with rules to help finding compromises, suggestions to do it all diffrently are appreciated as well.

Well this sounds like a good idea but on Saturdays at 2 and 3 pm est is the best time for the younger ones.. Because dinner is ready then and there is no school the next day. I think you should make that times too. Almost nobody plays at 12 and 1 pm est because there are problems with eating then.

Well 12:00 is also kinda hard. Because its dinner time for most people. And well you cant ask youre parents to make dinner ready sooner, because you have some internet game to play. You could ask but most of the times it will still be a NO.

I think its a better idea to play some matches on friday. Lets say ladder matches. Or just play ladder midweeks and GC and WC weekends. This would make it alot more easy to re-schedule times between clans in weekends. This could also solve the problem of 3 clans playing at the same time. Because that makes winning vs ntrls a little bit to easy.

some people got dinner at 1.00 pm est, so lets remove 1.00 pm est from the list too...

Spida 2.00 pm est / 3.00 pm est [Saturday] not on the list was made for many EU ppl are going out then or got a party... When no clans got problems with 2.00 pm est on Saturday we can add it to the list.

About dinner as excuse for not playing an nfbl match is a bit weak. It's not a big deal to eat 5 minutes later or earlier..

It is possible to help your parents with the food, so it gets done on a time that's good for you...

Dont you think parents decide when its dinnertime? I'm sure people can help making it and make sure dinner is ready at 17:00 but if youre parents wanna eat round 18:00 well then youre still unlucky.

lol i think its sort of "crazy" to eat dinner earlier or later than you did usually just because you can play an online game then...Dinner mostly depends on the mood of your parents ^^
But I would also vote for making Friday a normal NFBL day too because there is no school the next day and i mostly see as much people online in gsa on fridays then on the weekends.

Attacking clan should have right to choose time and day of the match. And it would be rescheduled only in case there are serious reasons( sunday 3-4est kids must go to bed). Some ppl go out on saturday after 1EST? Some ppl also do sports/go to cottages and come back home at 2EST and cant play sooner. Some ppl have dinner at 2:00 EST, somebody at 12:00 EST. But this are not for me good reasons for blocking time slots.

Rather funny to see people calling us "stoer" cuz we go out on saturdays. Yet they make up the rules in the house and parents got nothing to say back.

I agree with you crossi :). Uhm spida about on fridays.. For EU clans it can be an option but USA players have school at friday 2.00 pm est...

Friday should just be made Ladder day. Cuz most ladder matches are in EU servers with EU players anyway.

dont most people go out friday? i know i do, most of my friends as well.. i think the times we have now are the best possible (give or take a few hours)
