External applications could be used to prevent unfair play and cheating, such as executing a normal command when prohibited.
Nightfire internal commands could be used to place the server in a mode where everyone can hurt eachother, everyone looks the same, no names show up on the hud, the armour/weapons/ammunition doesnt regenerate and when you die you stay dead until you reconnect.
Map entities could be used to add certain special effects to the gametype such as constant loosing of health during a round so that to survive you must run for armour and fight for it.
Now to business:
Something could be done where there are maps with a trigger_hurt covering the whole map. This would make it harder to survive and as the weapons/ammo/armor doesnt regenerate so players can fight for it, it's difficult to reconnect after you've been killed and go on to win
