Problem in Gearcraft level editor

Discussion about map creation, old and new maps.

nothing, we were just talking about the map decompiler

an 'Invalid Solid' needs you to open the .map, press F10, find the 'Invalid Solid' error and then click on 'Go To' and then close the dialogue box and press the delete key. Keep repeating this until there are no invalid solids left in your .map.

Afterwards you saved it to .map, open it again and repeat the process until there are none. After this you should be able to compile without problem

NOTE: Only ignore the the 'Has Unused Keyvalues' error.

Well, there are no solids that I'm worried about. It's about these "brushes". The thing that really makes me mad is that Gearcraft doesn't see it as a problem. So I have to launch the compiler every time, find the problem brush, delete it, then run the compiler again. I've done that about 20 times before I've just given up. How has gearbox gotten away with all of those errors?

those pop up when you carve something in a impossible shape nf cant handle, like really small 0.5 pix things. Deleting and redoing the part is the best solution

Ok, thanks. I'm just kind of new to the whole building thing, and I don't exactly like the way you make a new shape... but oh well.
