009 I modded ctf_romania into ctf_romaniav6. All I did is I removed the grapples powerups and mines. I want to know IF this map could be played in NFBL. email me at tkoradish@yahoo.com

he probably removed it to stop pjump... but to tell you the thruth... it just makes pjump more difficult, not impossible, so ppl who can still pjump will own the world... unfair map.

Fruity, Techy, Majis and some other ppl will still pjump. And I even I can do it sometimes...so like freax said: Unfair map. And it's from TKO anyways...so what about ignoring?

Radish please give more information about your map. Are there any other changes from the ordinary ctf_romania, except from removing grapple points and mines?

Removing the grapple points reduces players ability to p-jump a bit, but it's still far from impossible. At the same time it makes some places of the map unaccessable and other areas much harder to reach. That decreases the game-play of the level and makes the game more predictable.

Removing mines from the level is not a big change.


NFBL is normaly discussing and testing maps that are suggested to us. If there are no other changes then removing grapples and mines, we will not even discuss and test this map. When we were looking at good solutions for removing p-jump from NF, we tested a few maps where grapple points had been removed. One of those maps were ctf_romania. We were unhappy about romania without grapple points, because of the decreased ablity to use the map.

If there are other changes you have made to the map, please let us know .

I took out mines b/c then everyone will get one mine put it on the flag they get the flag they jump on the laser and they start p jumping. I also removed all of the powerups to be a fair game.

NFBL is using powerups and mines add another dimension to NF, so both changes reduces the quality of play. We will not test ctf_romania6, but you are always welcome to submit other levels to us.

but to completely stop p-jump in a map you must remove all explosives and grappletargets, no?

if that was the choice in the beginning of the p-jump period , Yes

but now some storm members can p-jump without anything cuz they're so skilled at jumping, so at this time, no it wont help

that sounds like cheating to me :confused: there must be something other than runing and jumping to propell you fast...
or they could have just spent ages runing around jumping until they get real fast :grin:

its not cheating..
they jump circles and they get speed doing it, thats all i know about it..
and lets hope they stop doign it cuz with that you can p-jump in every map..
and maybe , 3 months later they can p-jump without circling! ! :shock: :shock:

or something like that, makes it so you can choose the maximum speed players can travel at in the air :grin:
