NEW PLAYOFF RULES

hello, I think we dont have rule for play off when both clans are from 1 continet - there is played only 1 match but it isnt clear who choose the side ( in a few maps there is better to be red/blue) and what gonna happen when both teams want to be blue for example.
I suggest : Team who gained country/planet with higer flag/frag diference can choose the side.

I liked the rule. The rule was made because VS wanted an EU server and WAR wanted a NA one.

The first thing I would like to say is that the rule is not new, it's just that this is the 2nd time it's ever been used in NFBL, first time was over a year ago, normally it's just a straight one match.

It's ok if WAR do not agree with the decision that was made, but as explained in the emails sent to them it was based on the facts.

The emails sent to both WAR and VS I thought where clear enough, but at different points both clans thought that they could play with mixed teams. It wasn't until I was told by WAR that they where getting together a mixed team for the match, that I sent an email breaking the whole thing down, the majority of that is in the Play Off rules explained post http://009.web-fun.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=733. In hindsight it would have been a good idea to send that to VS as well, but at the time I thought it was clear to them as they had not questioned anything.

It's no wonder if VS did not believe WAR of the rules posted in GSA half way through the matches, judging by the communication between the two clans both on GSA and here. There is a big mistrust and both clans thought they where in the right.

WAR where told from the start that it would be '4 NA vs. 4 EU players' and VS where told that they had to use 'All the same EU players in both matches' and 'WAR where doing the same, with All the same NA players'. Better wording may have stopped this from happening, but if WAR misunderstood '4 EU vs. 4 NA', WAR have to allow VS misunderstanding of, 'All the same NA players and All the same EU players'. It was a genuine misunderstanding by VS, I can't see VS knowingly using a mixed team and it to be incorrect.

Kung the reason that it has to be 2 matches and not mixed teams is written in the Play Off rules explained post, but to add to that you have to consider that some clans do not have players from both continents. If one clan plays 4 EU players on EU server and 4 NA players on the NA server and the other clan 4 EU players on both, it will be an unfair match.

I think Crossi's suggestion for 1 match Play Off's is good.
