Mozilla email..

Postby Sagen on Sun Nov 21, 2004 12:04 am

I can't figure out how to set up the mozilla email. I don't know what I can put in for the email address or the servers.

I would appreciate it if someone were to hold my hand through the process.

I've never used Mozilla before but the setup looks very similar to that of Outlook Express. For each mail account you have you will have to get the smtp.mail and pop.mail address, you can normally find these on their respective sites.

The walkthrough info won't be the same but the important information is.

http://www.mozilla.org/start/1.0/faq/mail-news.html
It says hotmail is not supported here, but...

http://2mod2.com/mohot/
this page says it can

Hope this helps in some way...

Mozilla? Mozilla Firefox looks cooler lol, and I'm sure it doesn't have as many bugs as mozilla does...

Mozilla is Mozilla. Mozilla is a company under Netscape (therefore under AOLTimeWarner) that basically has two applications: FireFox, and ThunderBird. FireFox is the web browser that is based on Netscape Navigator. ThunderBird is an application that is a competitor with MS Outlook for e-mail. ThunderBird uses IMAP, POP, and SMTP for e-mail access and sending. You can easily understand the configuration of ThunderBird if you understand the configuration of Outlook. The Mozilla site probably has an FAQ and an Instructions page on ThunderBird. http://www.mozilla.org/
