Oh God, not PHP :P

Postby herbius on Mon May 12, 2008 3:46 pm

I've tried to get onto my 007: Refraction forum and it gave me this message:

phpBB : Critical Error

Could not obtain ban information

DEBUG MODE

SQL Error : 1105 File './forum5c_mfdb/007refraction_banlist.MYD' not found (Errcode: 2)

SELECT ban_ip, ban_userid, ban_email FROM 007refraction_banlist WHERE ban_ip IN ('5684fb61', '5684fbff', '5684ffff', '56ffffff') OR ban_userid = 2 OR ban_email LIKE 'jonathan.poncelet@talk21.com' OR ban_email LIKE '@talk21.com'

Line : 160
File : sessions.php

The problem is I can't get on there to edit anything. What the hell should I do now? I suppose this is what comes from not checking on a forum in ages.

Admins, if you consider this "forum advertising," feel free to take it down. I assure you it's not intended to be.

EDIT: I just realised, looks like it's half banned me. Ulti, what the hell are you up to?? :!:

Do you not have FTP Access?

First thoughts are, the file is not there or maybe it needs chmoding for read write access?

What sort of forum is it, a vBulletin one?

I think it might be, although I'm not sure. If you want to check I think the info's on http://www.forum5.com/ or something. It was only free so I don't think I have FTP for it.

oh...
The ones they have on offer are phpBB v2 and v3.

...Read some more, http://iforumersupport.com/viewforum.php?f=3. Seems like your not the only one with the same error. It also explains what happened (hard drive failure) and that they are trying to recover data.

hmmm... they have phpMyAdmin Access but that looks like that is something you have to pay for. Did you have a lot of posts?

Why should you 'buy' PHPMyAdmin?
It's opensource remember..

If I understand it right it was for the use of it. Like some hosts charge for extra bandwidth space etc.

Just got an e-mail through today saying that the admins have got the forum up and running again - I think they did a massive maintainance project or something.
