Discussion about NFBSP's Dedicated Server Script (DSS)

Ok, I have the DSS2 scripty hosty thing...and I start the server and I can't get it on the nightfire public server list, it shows up on my LAN however, what can I do about it? I want it to be public, not a LAN

try setting sv_lan 0.

when you go to 'server settings' make sure you have added ( like mr.nf said ) sv_lan on '0'. Were you able to host before you went to dss2?
I Used to be scyzofrenic, But We're okay now :)

Not really, could it be a port problem? I tried that Lan 0 thingy and it didn't work, it still appears in my LAN however

its not too hard lol, you just have to port forward 4 ports - 6550, 26005, 26015, 26025 (All of these are UDP).

to do this, just enter your internal ip into your web address bar.. eg:

http://192.168.1.1

then look for virtual servers/firewall into you can see a port configuration menu.

26005 = Client Port
26015 = Host Port
6550 = Host Query Port

only 3 zero :wink:

Remember that he said DSS2, so he should open 26026 UDP too
