Router Connections Problems-PLEASE READ.

Postby BK520 on Thu Nov 22, 2007 11:49 pm

i recently got a second nightfire CD (2 CD1,2 CD2) and now me and my brother can play at the same time. my computer has a router and my brothers computer is the computer that i connect off of. It has a Cable Modem and a router and i connect off of it so i can play. so i dont know if we can both play at the same time, but since i got the second CD installed when me and my brother play we lag out constantly and if we dont lag out our pings are in the 800's to 1000's...

whats going on?

lol since both computers are on. Its recieving lag compensation back and forth. Which means both the router and modem are sending data back and forth and thats why you guys lag when both computers are on and have same internet.

You shoudl also talk to your ISP and see if your connection went down as performance and maybe try changing your rotuer with a better one.I have a EDIMAX rotuer and it works jsut fine no problems with it ...Simple easy and it does its job !Good luck
